Concord United Methodists came into the world with a giant leap of faith. Our church was founded in 1865 – the year the Civil War ended – in a community that knew firsthand the hardships of war.

During World War I, the congregation stayed focused on the future by planning a new building in Old Concord that in 1920 would become the church’s first real home. In 1961, we moved to our current location in Thornton Heights Subdivision.

Whether you’re married or single… a “Young Disciple” or “Primetimer”…you’ll find friends in Christian fellowship and partners in Christian service at Concord UMC. This is a congregation that encourages your personal and spiritual growth and welcomes you to become and active member of the church family.
