Hope For Africa Children's Choir Concert,
Concord UMC, Thursday, June 26

The Hope for Africa Children's Choir is made up of 23 children from Uganda. Nine are from the Gulu refugee camps (near the Sudan border) and the rest are street children and the discarded. Most of the children are orphans and are among the most impoverished in Africa. The choir, created by the United Methodist Uganda Annual Conference, sang for the Holston Annual Conference, and is now touring. They are fantastic - you will not want to miss this event!

A Love Offering will be taken to help support this wonderful ministry.

Covered-Dish Supper Meal Reservations
There will be a covered-dish supper at 5:30 the evening of the concert.  If you plan on attending the meal, please indicate the total number on the Ritual of Friendship pad or SML card Sunday morning (no need to mark adult or child) or call the church office by 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 23. Please bring a kid-friendly dish or two for you and for the choir, and join in a time of Christian fellowship. The church will provide meat, bread, and drinks.

United Methodist Women Cookbook - Recipes Needed!

The UMW is creating a cookbook that will be a compilation of recipes submitted from the entire church family. Please submit your recipe on 8.5 x 5.5 paper (no larger) and on ONE side only.  You may click on the cookbook graphic to the left to submit a recipe via e-mail. You may submit more than one recipe. To prevent copyright infringement, please do not use brand names in recipe titles.
