Sunday Morning Classes

On Sunday mornings you will find the youth wing busy with activity.  From 9:50-10:50am we offer Sunday morning classes for our students.  Classes are divided by grade, and we start our time together by gathering in The Studio, E-201, for fellowship, announcements, and prayer.  If you are new to Concord, Sunday mornings are a great time to visit the youth area upstairs, get a tour, and meet our Pastor of Student Ministry, Rev. Chris Luper.

Sunday Night Small Groups

Sunday nights, known as “Amplified”, are our main night of Student Ministry during the school year. At 5:00 pm we begin with a Supper in the Worship Center. Students contribute $5 towards the meal. Then, at 5:30 pm we head upstairs to The Studio for worship, and break into our small groups from 6:00-7:00pm. We finish the evening back in The Studio for our “closing circle” and announcements.

Wednesday Night @ Common Grounds

Every Wednesday during the school year, from 4:30 – 7:30 pm, our coffee house, “Common Grounds”, is open to students to work on homework, relax after a hard day, enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, or just hang out with friends. We also share a devotional time together at 7:00pm.

Missions Work

Concord Student Ministry is an active participant in the mission work of Concord UMC.  In addition to international mission trips, we also take a week-long domestic mission trip each summer to help a community in need.  We regularly participate in community mission work, and serve our famous meatball subs at the Volunteer Ministry Center on the second Thursday of each month.  The Church bus picks up our volunteers after school, and they return to the Church around 6:15pm.  We hope you will join us as we feed the Knoxville community!
